Naturalis Cabernet Sauvignon
Naturalis Organic Cabernet Sauvignon Red Wine has a brooding, rich red with purple hues. This vegan-friendly red wine has aromas of blackberry preserves, black currant, chocolate, and cedar that give way to streamlined natural acidity. Grapes for this wine have been entirely sourced from their Certified Organic Nanya Vineyard near Paringa, South Australia. The sandy loam over limestone soils, abundant sunshine, warm days and cool nights provide ideal conditions for nurturing flavor packed organic grapes with which to craft this exciting new, organic wine. At no stage during the grape growing and winemaking of Naturalis Organic wines have they used any synthetic pesticides, herbicides, fungicides, fertilizers or inputs of any kind. Everything they use comes from nature, pure and clean. The 2019 vintage Cabernet Sauvignon received 90 points from The Tasting Panel. This Australian wine pairs well with slow cooked organic beef ribs or mushroom veggie burgers. Perfectly ripened Organic Cabernet Sauvignon grapes were harvested at night to make sure that they were as cool as possible, thus minimizing any chance of spoilage. Crushed to both rotary and ‘sweeparm’ fermenters the grapes were then allowed to macerate for 2 days before inoculation and fermentation. Gently pressed off skins, leaving the hard pressings fraction behind, the soft wine then went through the second malolactic fermentation under controlled conditions. The wine was stored in seasoned French oak barrels until ready for blending. This inviting organic wine has then had minimal handling prior to filtration for bottling at their Certified Organic winery. One bottled wine of Naturalis Organic Cabernet Sauvignon has 14.5% alcohol by volume.
